THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
The journey continues, at last no destination
Took an act of desperation to reconcile the past
Mist clears in the twilight; the moment’s gone so fast
As I lay here in the darkness, I’ve found some truth at last.
The journey continues, past trials and tribulations
Without the miles and dislocation, I don’t know just where I’d be
Rivers of connection have shown their way to me
When I catch my own reflection, I’m still not sure which me I see
I’ve known the pain of far too much kindness and angels here on earth
In my dreams, I’ve kissed the tears of my children’s eyes,
And woke impatient for their birth.

The journey continues beyond all expectation
To find a child’s imagination is the wisdom that we share
I walk with love beside me through every day so rare
Behind us in the footprints
The names are written there.
Days fly like faces passing by,
Though most elude my memory
By and by I find the reasons why
The Road has been the finest friend to me.
